Zephu Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Zephu, provided by the application provider identified on its App Store listing. Contact Zephu@gmail.com for support. If you do not agree, do not continue using the app.
1. What Zephu provides
Zephu helps you organize earring photographs and numbered archive cards, record materials and acquisition details, compare selected pairs with AI, save comparison reports, log wear in a calendar, view collection statistics and record local voice notes. It is a personal collection tool, not a jewelry marketplace, authentication service or professional appraisal service. It does not currently offer social chat, video calling or scheduled care reminders.
2. Local archive and your content
The current app opens a local archive without email registration. Profile, sign-out and Delete Account controls manage local app state; they do not provide a cloud account, secure remote authentication or synchronization between devices. You retain ownership of your photos, notes and other content. You permit the processing necessary to provide the features you choose, including separate, consent-based AI processing described below.
Use only content you have the right to use and respect other people's privacy. Do not use Zephu for unlawful activity, infringement, harassment, fraud or interference with its operation. Open-source components remain governed by their applicable licenses.
3. AI comparisons
Comparisons use OpenRouter and its model providers and require an internet connection. Before sharing, the app asks for a separate, explicit choice. Agreeing to these terms or the EULA alone does not authorize AI data sharing. Once you accept the sharing disclosure, a comparison request sends the selected earring images and card details, including purchase source and price. Voice notes are not sent. You may decline and continue using the local archive.
AI rankings, scores and suggestions may be incomplete or wrong. They are not guarantees of authenticity, rarity, material, condition or market value. Obtain qualified independent advice before buying, selling or insuring jewelry. The Privacy Policy explains the recipients and data handling; third-party retention is not guaranteed to be zero.
4. Coins and purchases
Optional one-time consumable coin purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. Review the quantity and price presented before confirming. Coins support the app's comparison features as shown in the app. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or redeemed for money, and do not represent ownership of any physical item. The current app does not offer auto-renewing subscriptions.
Purchase completion grants the corresponding coins. Consumable balances are held locally, and the app does not provide cloud balance recovery or guaranteed restoration after deletion or device replacement. Delete Account resets the balance. Apple's purchase records remain separate. Contact support if a purchase does not deliver its stated entitlement; refund requests can be made through Apple's Report a Problem service, subject to applicable law and Apple's process. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.
5. Permissions, storage and deletion
Camera, selected-photo and microphone access support the specific features described in the Privacy Policy. You may decline them. Signing out or declining the EULA does not delete existing records. Delete Account removes local profile settings, balance, shared-report records, voice notes and wear records, but does not currently erase the separate numbered-card and comparison database. Use iOS Delete App, not Offload App, to remove app-container data; manage backups and exported copies separately. Keep your own copies of information you need. Recovery is not guaranteed.
6. License and availability
The Zephu EULA explains the app's license and incorporates Apple's Standard EULA. These terms supplement it for Zephu's features; the license provisions and mandatory local rights remain applicable. Apple is not the provider of Zephu's app support.
Local features may work without a connection; AI comparisons, purchases and loading legal pages require network access. Availability can depend on Apple, hosting and AI services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of AI results. We remain responsible for obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Changes and ending use
You may stop using Zephu at any time. Feature and term changes will be explained as required by applicable law; additional permissions or materially new data uses are not authorized merely by posting revised text. Material revisions to the in-app EULA require acceptance again. Stopping use or deleting the app does not itself request a purchase refund.
For concerns, contact us first so we can try to resolve them. These terms do not remove any rights to remedies or competent courts available under applicable consumer law.
