Zephu Privacy Policy
Zephu is an earring collection app with numbered photo cards, AI comparisons, a wear calendar, collection statistics and local voice notes. This policy describes the current app. The application provider identified on Zephu's App Store listing is responsible for the app; contact Zephu@gmail.com with privacy questions.
1. Information stored on your device
Zephu stores earring photographs and details you enter, including material, style, dimensions, weight, condition, purchase source and price. It also stores wear dates and notes, saved comparison results, voice recordings, local profile information, preferences, consent choices, coin balance and transaction identifiers used to avoid granting a purchase twice.
The entry screen opens a local archive. The current app does not require email registration or provide a remotely authenticated account or cloud archive synchronization. A local profile and entry state support the archive interface; they are not a cloud backup or a secure identity service. Signing out does not erase your collection.
2. Optional AI comparisons
Before the first AI comparison, Zephu presents a separate sharing disclosure. Only after you agree and request a comparison does it send the selected earring images, card identifiers and archive numbers, material, style, dimensions, weight, condition, purchase source and price to OpenRouter and the AI model provider handling the request. Your sharing choice is stored for subsequent comparisons. Voice recordings and wear-calendar entries are not included in these requests.
The recipients use these inputs to generate the requested comparison. Network requests also expose technical connection information, such as your IP address, to the receiving service. Photos or text can contain personal information; avoid including faces, addresses or other unnecessary personal details.
OpenRouter and model providers have their own retention and processing practices. Zephu does not promise immediate deletion, zero retention or that every model provider excludes training use. Please review OpenRouter's Privacy Policy and its linked provider policies before sharing. Processing may occur outside your country. Zephu saves results locally when you save a comparison; it does not operate a separate archive server for these records.
Choose Not Now to use local archive features without sending content for AI comparison. To stop future sharing, stop requesting comparisons. Delete Account clears the stored sharing choice; it does not recall content already processed by an external provider. For questions about previously transmitted data, contact us or the provider.
3. Permissions and tracking
- Camera access lets you photograph earrings. The photo picker imports only images you choose.
- Microphone access is requested when you record a voice note. Recordings are stored locally, played back in the app and are not sent for AI comparison.
- You can decline permissions and change available permissions in iOS Settings. Only the features requiring the declined access are affected.
- The app may display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. The current implementation does not use its authorization result for advertising, cross-app tracking or interest-based personalization. Declining does not prevent archive use. This policy describes actual behavior; the prompt does not authorize undisclosed future tracking.
The calendar and chart components support local presentation. The current app does not send automatic analytics or attribution events through them. We do not sell your archive content or share it for behavioral advertising.
4. Purchases, websites and support
Apple processes in-app purchases. Zephu receives product and transaction information needed to grant coins and prevent duplicate fulfillment, but not your payment-card details or Apple ID password. Apple's processing is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Privacy, terms and license pages are hosted through Cloudflare. Loading them necessarily sends ordinary web-request information, including IP address, to the hosting service; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. These pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send and use it to handle your request.
5. Retention, deletion and your choices
Local content remains until removed through the available app controls or by deleting the app and its data. Delete Account resets the local profile, preferences and coin balance and removes local shared-report records, voice notes and wear records. It does not currently erase the separate numbered-card and comparison database. To remove all app-container records, use Delete App in iOS Settings rather than Offload App. Device backups and any copies you export are managed separately through your device, backup provider or destination app.
Deleting local data does not cancel an Apple purchase, delete Apple's transaction records or automatically delete information previously sent to an AI provider. Some system-secured legacy records may survive an uninstall. Local purchases and records have no guaranteed cross-device recovery; consider this before deleting data.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, object to processing or complain to a supervisory authority. Contact us for assistance with information we hold. We cannot remotely read your local archive; do not send unnecessary sensitive information with a request. External providers handle their records under their own retention obligations and policies.
6. Security, children and changes
Zephu uses device storage and HTTPS for service requests. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and share only content you are entitled to share. The app is not directed to children under 13; contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information to us.
